The Legacy Project

Honoring the Past. Inspiring the Future.

At VFW Post 1272, our mission extends beyond service, we're committed to preserving the stories, sacrifices, and spirit of the veterans who shaped our community. The Legacy Project is our heartfelt initiative to capture and share those legacies for generations to come.

What Is the Legacy Project?

The Legacy Project is a living archive of local veteran stories, photographs, letters, medals, and memorabilia, documented and displayed with care. From oral histories and photo exhibits to interactive displays at our Post, this project ensures that the contributions of our veterans are never forgotten.

HONORING Those Who Served

Why It Matters

As time passes, so do memories. The Legacy Project helps bridge generations by connecting younger community members with the real-life experiences of local heroes. It’s history you can hear, see, and feel.

For generations, our VFW Post has stood as a beacon of hope and solidarity for veterans and our community. But today, we’re at a crossroads. To continue our mission, we need your help to revitalize our post with critical upgrades—fresh paint, modern lighting, accessible facilities, and technology—to ensure a safe, welcoming space for all.

This isn’t just about repairs; it’s about sustaining our Legacy Project, where we preserve the stories of local heroes and pass their sacrifices to future generations. Your support will empower us to honor those who served and sacrificed, serve veterans in need, host community events and award youth scholarships. Together, we can keep their legacy alive while building a stronger future. Will you stand with us?
